AirOps vs Profound: Content Platform or AI Marketer?

The biggest difference in AirOps vs Profound is how you buy and what sits at the center. AirOps sells self-serve content plans you can start free, with a strategy team you can bring in on top. Profound offers brands a 7-day free trial and a custom Enterprise contract, built around an agent it calls the AI Marketer.

Both track how AI answers mention your brand, and both meter the content work. AirOps counts tasks: each content action a workflow completes, like generating a draft, uses some. Profound counts credits, which its agent uses up each time it runs, more for longer jobs. Plan details below were checked on airops.com and tryprofound.com on 16 October 2026.

What does AirOps do?

AirOps is a content production platform with a services team behind it. It describes itself as the partner behind a brand’s AI search strategy, and its platform runs agents and brand rules to publish and refresh content. The homepage pitches market share with the buyers who matter, not a single visibility score.

AirOps lists three plans:

  • Solo: ChatGPT insights only, 35,000 content tasks a month, one user.
  • Pro: insights across 7+ answer engines, 100,000 content tasks a month, unlimited seats.
  • Enterprise: custom task limits, custom agent builds, a dedicated account manager and 1:1 expert onboarding.

Solo and Pro both show “Start for free.” The plan cards don’t show prices. AirOps’s FAQ says pricing is based on your task volume and needs, and Solo users pay $0.025 for each task past their monthly allotment.

What does Profound do?

Profound is an AI marketing platform built around the AI Marketer, an agent that researches and drafts marketing work and runs on credits. Its monitoring side covers how your brand and competitors appear in AI answers, what people ask AI, how AI crawlers visit your site and how products show up in ChatGPT Shopping.

The brand view of Profound’s pricing page shows two plans:

  • Trial (free): limited AI Marketer credits, 50 prompts run daily for 7 days, three engines (ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews). No history, exports or API.
  • Enterprise (custom): up to 9 answer engines, daily tracking, all-time history, CSV and JSON exports, API access, SSO/SAML and SOC 2.

Enterprise engines include ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Microsoft Copilot, DeepSeek and Exa Search. Agencies get a separate Agency Growth plan. Profound’s agency launch post prices each full client workspace as a $399 monthly add-on.

The short version: Profound vs AirOps turns on how much of the work you want a vendor's people, or a vendor's agent, to carry.

How often do AI engines cite AirOps and Profound?

In Yogoo AI’s 500-prompt study, tryprofound.com was cited in 1,372 of 8,695 answers (15.8%), and airops.com in 551 of 8,695 (6.3%). The study ran on 10 and 11 August 2026 across GPT-4o-mini + web search (API), Claude, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews.

Read these counts with the method in mind. They cover all 500 prompts, including 33 that named a competitor brand and 18 that named Yogoo AI. The ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini runs used API models with web search turned on, not the consumer apps. Google AI Overviews came from real Google results pages, and Perplexity ran on its own sonar search model. A citation count tells you how many answers linked to a domain as a source. It doesn’t tell you which product fits the work you need done. The full method is in our 500-prompt AI search optimization study, and the vendor-by-topic breakdown is in which AI search optimization startups get cited most.

When is AirOps the right fit?

AirOps fits a team whose bottleneck is content output. If you need pages published and refreshed on a schedule, and you’d like strategists working next to you, that’s the job AirOps sells.

  • You want to start self-serve, without a sales call, and grow into unlimited seats on Pro.
  • You want people as well as software: AirOps keeps its team hands-on from strategy through execution.

When is Profound the right fit?

Profound fits a larger marketing team that needs enterprise controls and engines beyond ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews. Its Enterprise list adds Google AI Mode, Microsoft Copilot, DeepSeek and Exa Search, and its Enterprise plan table lists SSO/SAML, SOC 2, all-time history and API access.

  • You want one agent working across channels, from AEO pages to social posts and press corrections.
  • You run an agency and want pitch workspaces for prospect audits before a client signs.

Where do other AirOps competitors fit?

One way to sort AirOps competitors: some produce content, and others measure how AI answers treat your brand. AirOps and Profound both do some of each.

If measurement is the part you need, you don’t have to buy a content platform to get it. Yogoo AI measures how often AI answers in your market name or link your business, and shows the counts behind every number, with each engine in your market on its own line. In a market Yogoo AI measures, the free plan includes the score, its counts, a sample of the questions buyers ask AI and the full rivals table. Paid plans add trackers and workflow tools. They don’t change the score. For agencies, Pro includes 6 trackers, one business and market each. One account is one login on every plan, so there’s no shared team seat yet.

If you’re weighing AirOps vs Profound for the content side, you can run a measurement tool next to whichever you pick: one to produce, one to check what AI answers say afterward. If you want to see how that checking works, here’s how Yogoo AI measures AI visibility.
